I agree. I like to see variations on tropes and playing with expectations, but the movie is well produced and directed, has the needed acting and atmosphere, and provides that Japanese Horror level of mystery; given all that, how can you not find it enjoyable? A welcome change from the blood-flowing numbing and redundant tropes of carnage with boorish characters. I think the mansion steals the movie, along with Lauren Cohan.

I think anymore with these kind of films that understated is good, i'm looking forward to this one..
