Halloween Animated Spookhouse Novelty
I’m Going to Get You!
A Halloween animated novelty that plays like a spookhouse ride. This was the first one that started my collection. I picked it up quite a few years ago (at an Eckerd or Rite Aid Pharmacy, I believe). No maker information is given for it except the “Made in China” sticker on the back. The clever spookhouse ride design of the box really sets the tone for the creepy skeleton pushing through the doors while the soundtrack says “I’m going to get you!”
The Inhuman Squishy Zombie!
at Target Stores
I see this out of the corner of my eye, in Target, and I'm blown away. Time was I used to shop for toys, now I only shop for domestic-related stuff like cleaner, high-fiber cereal, toilet tissue, you know, the boring but essential stuff. I miss shopping for toys. Especially when cool stuff like this Inhuman Squishy Zombie from Smart Lab beckons to the kid in me. Hell, its got removable limbs and flesh, too! And it comes with a coloring book to "bring your zombie to life!"
Halloween Animated Granny in Rocking Chair
I found this charming animated rocking granny (or crone, take your pick) at Walgreens this year. She's so feisty!
The Monster Times No. 23
Godzilla, the King of the Monsters!
Come in, come in. Plenty of room under the bed sheet. My, it's a chilly one tonight, isn't it. Don't worry, it's just the batteries in your flashlight causing it to flicker. It's only midnight. I heard the ghosts and monsters don't come out to play until 2am. Besides, horror magazines act like a talisman to ward them off. So snuggle closer. Tonight's reading is The Monster Times, issue number 23. It's all about Godzilla, you know. He just can't stop talking about himself. Such an ego.

Movie Pressbook: Death Ship (1980)
George Kennedy loses it as survivors wind up not really surviving. Worth a look, but don’t trip over your feet rushing to do so.
