I am dumbfounded and annoyed by Total Film's 2010 Best Horror Blog Award. Out of the dozens of devoted and talented horror bloggers who contribute more to the horror genre than newsy tidbits and fluff reviews, Total Film can only come up with 5 blog nominations? This award is a joke.
I hold nothing against the 5 nominees, although Obscure Hollow is the only full-fledged blog on the list. Good luck to all of you in winning.
Total Film, you are totally off the mark with this award. Rename it or do your homework and stop wasting our time.
But congratulations; you've won my 2010 Horse's Ass Award for your meaningless award.
I'd have no problem if they called the award "Best Horror Site", and I love Dread Central, but like you mentioned, these really aren't blog sites.

I feel the same way...I am a fan and supporter of one of these sites, partially due to quality and also due to a friend that is involved with the site itself. Still, it is a horror site, not a blog and while I personally would never expect myself be nominated for something "so hip," I see it as highly unfair to all horror bloggers to be pitted against professional websites.
