Great review! With all it's faults it's important to realize just how hard RZ fought against the slasher sequel grain with this one. It may not be 100% successful (especially in the suspense department as you mentioned) but if it inspires others to think outside the box in the future (which I think it will) then I say it's a job well done. In any case, it has given horror fans a lot to think about, which I don't think is ever a bad thing.-Unk

I like what Zombie is doing in his films overall. his weakest film so far, to me, was the Devil's Rejects. Wish he would have left House of 1000 corpses where it was or did something different with the sequel. The films seem to be in line with the frantic, sleazy, southern-fried world he creates in his songs. Just read he is going to remake one of my favorites The Blob. I read some negative comments bout this already, especially regarding his decision to not use the red jelly Blob monster, but I look forward to it.
