I received this exciting news from Scott Essman…
The movie gods heard my prayers... Rick Baker is back to work on THE WOLF MAN... ostensibly, he is doing transformation work but this is NOT confirmed!!! At the March 8th tribute to Forry Ackerman, Baker noted that he had wrapped principal photography on WOLF MAN at the end of July 2008... at that point, the movie went into post... but the CGI artists had trouble getting from Benicio DT as himself to him as the Wolf Man... and CGI attempts must have failed... hence, they hired Baker back for what will likely be called "additional shooting"... this must in fact be for transformation work... stay tuned.
I see Anthony Hopkins is there, too. Can't wait to see that combination.

I'm very excited about this film, fingers crossed the transformation work is quality. I am not a big fan of the lychanthrope's generally, but with Benicio involved I think the genre could get one up on the vamps and zombies.
