This was, and still is, a great movie. I remember when it came out, I was 10 and my mother would not let me see it. My older brother saw it and told me how scary it was.

the remake was a dissapointment compared to the original! but then it opened the movie up to some folks who didnt even know it existed, thats the beauty of the remake genre... it re-introduces movies we already KNOW are good to folks who may have forgotten!!

Andre, yes I love that scene. The movie still creeps me out when I watch it late at night, alone.

Great film! The scary granny on the skateboard is one of the most effective scare tactics I've seen- and I love the image of Loren's wife hanging- and who can forget the severed head found...in a box I believe?

I agree: the remake had it's creepy charm, but was pretty off the mark. It didn't have Price, so that was a big minus going into it.

The Halloween Prop Guy

I love this movie, probably one of my favorites. Of course I am a huge Vincent Price fan. Too bad they had to go and make all of these stupid remakes.

This reminds me of when I went to see Grindhouse at the theater on opening night, the latest showing, I think it was around 11:30, and they had a dude all tuxed out and a little grungy and mean looking standing at the door to take your ticket...none of the other movies had that, it was cool, it made it a lot more fun and added to the whole grindhouse re-experience.
